PKL star Aashish Malik names Virat Kohli as his favourite cricketer

Aashish Malik made his PKL debut in Season 12.
Bengaluru Bulls finished third in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) standings with 22 points from 18 matches, including 11 wins and seven losses. They finished their league stage matches with a score difference of 97.
The Bulls suffered a 37-32 defeat against the Telugu Titans in the Mini-Qualifier. After that, they lost to the Patna Pirates 46-37 in Eliminator 2 and were knocked out of the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Overall, the Bulls performed well in Season 12 with a young team, and Aashish Malik played a key role in their journey.
Aashish named Virat Kohli his favourite cricketer

During the league, Bulls’ star young raider Aashish Malik took part in the Rapid Fire Raid segment of PKL Unplugged. PKL has now uploaded the segment in which he named former India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli as his favourite cricketer.
He also answered a few other questions regarding his Bengaluru Bulls teammates in the Rapid Fire round. Aashish picked Yogesh Dahiya as his first friend and said that the Iranian raider Alireza Mirzain is the player who comes late to training.
The Indian raider chose Pankaj and defender Sanjay Dhull as the complaint box and the most notorious member of the team, respectively.
Aashish Malik’s PKL 12 season in numbers
Bengaluru Bulls coach BC Ramesh spotted Aashish Malik during the NYP trials in Bangalore ahead of the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. The right raider from Meerut impressed the coach and was signed by the Bengaluru Bulls as a New Young Player (NYP) for PKL 12.
Aashish earned 89 points from 18 matches in his debut season in the Pro Kabaddi League. He bagged 83 raid points with an average of 4.61 raids per match from a total of 214 raids.
The young Indian raider had a success rate of 38.78% and a not out rate of 77.57%. On the defense front, he earned six tackle points, including two Super Tackles from 14 tackles.
He is also expected to be in action in the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) in December 2025/January 2026.
