UP Yoddhas and U Mumba start their PKL 12 campaign with a win.

Telugu Titans continue to struggle on the second day of Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12). In today’s first match, UP Yoddha defeated Titans.

They were taken to the cleaners and were handed a 35-40 defeat in Vizag. Gagan Gowda led the line for the Yoddhas with skipper Sumit securing eight points at the back. Vijay Malik also scored 14 points, but couldn’t help his side avoid a defeat.

The second game was filled with even more drama and entertainment. Just like last night’s second game, this fixture also went into the tiebreaker, with the Gujarat Giants fighting their way back to parity.

U Mumba emerged victorious in the tiebreaker with a solid display on both ends and registered their first two points of the season.

At the end of the second day, UP Yoddhas find themselves at the top of the table with two points to their name. Tamil Thalaivas are placed second with two points to their name, followed by Puneri Paltan at third. U Mumba are now placed fourth on the table following a win tonight.

Bengal Warriorz, Dabang Delhi, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, and Patna Pirates are yet to play a game in PKL 12. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Giants are ranked tenth, the Bengaluru Bulls are placed 11th, and the Telugu Titans remain at the bottom of the table with consecutive losses.

Vijay Malik is the new leader in terms of most raid points with 19 points to his name. Gagan Gowda’s match-winning 14-point stint has put him in second position, while Arjun Deshwal has slipped down to third with 12 points to his name. Akash Shinde is now ranked fourth with 12 points, and Bharat Hooda completes the top five with eleven points.
