The Pro Kabaddi League shapes the most promising talents in its every season. A variety of new players step into the tantalizing battle every year, coming up with impressive performances, which make them people’s favourites.

The PKL in its eighth edition saw mesmerizingly talented debutants who stunned the viewers by breaking and setting up many records.

Let’s have a look at the top five debutants from this year’s Pro Kabaddi League who performed exceptionally well this season.

5. Jaideep (Haryana Steelers)

Jaideep was one of the dominant defenders in Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. He turned out to the most reliable pick for his team in terms of defending. Although the Haryana Steelers finished seventh in the table, the defender tended to turn the tide in his team’s favour when there were any obstacles in the way.

Jaideep scored 66 points from 22 matches, which included five high-fives. His stunning performances could make him one of the leading players in the coming seasons.

4. Rakesh Sangroya (Gujarat Giants)

Rakesh found himself amongst the prominent players for his team in Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. The player was an integral part of his franchise and had a memorable debut season.

The raider scored a total of 140 points in 22 matches, with an average of over six. He also had five Super-10s in the season. Rakesh may not have been the leading scorer in many matches for the Giants, but acted as the driving force by ensuring a consistent flow of points in every game.

3. Mohit Goyat (Puneri Paltan)

Puneri Paltan raider Mohit Goyat stole the show for his team through his amazing performances. He turned out to be the best pick for his team through his valuable and timely contributions in raiding.

Mohit scored 187 points in his debut season in 21 matches, with eight Super-10s. His tally also included 28 tackle points with one high-five. The raider also topped the list of players who had the most do-or-die raid points, with 49. Mohit had an average of more than seven this season.

Aslam Inamdar was yet another gem for the Puneri Paltan in the eighth season. The raider ticked all the boxes in his game and gained the limelight with his all-round performances. There were hardly any games where Aslam failed to perform at his best. His attacking style easily tormented the best defensive formations, which was enough to put pressure on any team.

Aslam scored a total of 189 points, which included five Super 10s with an average of more than seven in a game. The raider smoothly assisted and even led the unit in the league in a number of matches.

1. Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (Patna Pirates)

PKL 8 had many records where Mohammadreza’s name was there in the list. The player made his mark in fine fashion in the season. Mohammadreza became one of the most successful debutants in the history of the league.

The Patna Pirates all-rounder had a total of 94 points, where five came through raiding while 89 points came through defence. Mohammadreza had 10 high-fives to his name ,which was the highest in the season. He also holds the most tackle points (86) in Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. All the records would’ve surely made it a season to remember for the all-rounder.

Mohammadreza’s magical gameplay entirely took over the season convincingly and rung the beep of what more is to come from him in the coming seasons.'
