The eighth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 witnessed tremendous and exciting talent that stunned the Kabaddi fraternity. The teams were packed with the right mix of youth and experience and gave their best to win accolades in the league. 

Here, we look at the young raiders who impressed us the most in Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 so far.

ASLAM INAMDAR (PUNERI PALTAN)

Hailing from Maharashtra, the promising youngster who plays as an all-rounder for Puneri Paltan has garnered lots of praise from the franchise’s legendary coach, Anup Kumar. Positioned as a left raider who is extremely swift on his feet, he has collected 169 raid points in 23 matches including five Super 10s and has 20 tackle points to his name. Hailed as a future talent, he has a knack of displaying defensive prowess that complement his raiding skills. He is rapidly progressing as one of the best all-rounders in the league in his debut season itself and that speaks volumes of what he still has to offer.

MOHIT GOYAT (PUNERI PALTAN)

A product of the Future Kabaddi Heroes program, Mohit Goyat has already become a household name with his brilliant performances on the field. Pune have found an able raider in him that can hold his fort under high pressure situations and remains unfazed against the strongest of the defenses. Operating as a right raider, he has accounted for 159 raid points with eight Super 10s in 21 matches, making him one of the best young raiders this season. 

V AJITH KUMAR (U MUMBA)

The young athlete has displayed his raiding prowess and complemented Abhishek Singh to the fullest. U Mumba have trusted him at key moments only to find him cross the mid-line with authority and sheer audacity. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, he has made a sound impact in PKL Season 8 with 159 raid points in 20 matches with six Super 10s and five Super Raids. His tall frame enables him to outpower the opposition with enough guile, something he has displayed consistently on the mat.

HS RAKESH (GUJARAT GIANTS)

HS Rakesh has played a key role in Gujarat’s Season 8 campaign. Playing as a right raider, he has shown commendable skills that combine athleticism and smartness to make a lasting impression in the recently concluded PKL season. Coach Manpreet Singh has also heaped praise on the youngster who was given the opportunity to play as a lead raider. The Haryana player accounted for 140 raid points in 22 matches with five Super 10s and four Super Raids, making it a performance worth remembering.

MEETU (HARYANA STEELERS)

Young Haryana Steelers raider, Meetu impressed one and all with his raiding prowess in PKL Season 8 that saw his side miss out on the playoffs berth. In 16 matches, he accumulated 75 raid points with three Super 10s. He played a key role in many crucial situations and often found his way due to his agility and confidence. The youngster is bound to improve with every passing season and has a bright future ahead of him.
