The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup is the biggest tournament for women’s Kabaddi. It features nations from around the world participating and competing for the prestigious trophy. This is the pinnacle of the game, and every team wants to win it.

The Men’s Kabaddi World Cup first began in 2004, and has had three editions, all of which have been won by the Indian Kabaddi team. After the success of the Men’s Kabaddi World Cup, the first Women’s Kabaddi World Cup was held in Patna in 2012, and it was recognised by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF).

It was organised by the Government of Bihar and the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, with 16 nations participating. The second edition of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, after 13 years, marking the first time the tournament was held outside India.

A total of 11 teams participated in this edition and competed for the trophy. On that note, let’s have a look at the winners’ list of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup.

They continued their excellent form in the semi-final as well, where they defeated Japan one-sidedly 59-20. In the Final, they faced a strong Iranian team.

Kabaddi is old, but not older than my love for it. I am still a rookie, but kabaddi is one thing I have been following passionately since my childhood. I don't miss any matches of the league and I regularly follow domestic and international tournaments as well.
