Google search trends 2024 has revealed a rather interesting picture of American sports fandom as far as the teams that got the most traction nationwide are concerned.

One of baseball’s most legendary teams, the New York Yankees, topped the list. It was a great season for the Yankees, and they reached the playoffs, which sparked the interest of fans and other people since the key players fared very well and the team changed managers.

Second place went to the Los Angeles Dodgers who continued to get many searches after they won the championship in 2024. This was partly due to the hype surrounding their season and marquee players. A World Series win just added to the buzz surrounding them. The New York Mets, whose surprise season made them gain interest, took third place.

As far as the overall picture is concerned, the list has clearly shown that 2024 has been a year in which baseball teams have garnered people’s attention with five teams from the MLB making it to the list.
