Great news for gamers and web series lovers, as FX has just greenlit a live-action Far Cry TV series. Both Noah Hawley & Rob McElhenney will be working to bring this series to life.
This news was first revealed by Variety and suggested that it will follow the games anthology pattern. Each season will have a different story and cast. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Far Cry TV series details: Anthology format
Noah Hawley (Fargo, Alien: Earth) and Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are the executive producers for the series.
Season 1 is going to be streamed on Hulu+ in the US and Disney+ worldwide. The best part is that they are keeping it very similar to games.
It will be in an anthology format where each season, we will see different stories and casts. In the first season, Rob Mac will star in the show.
Here’s what Rob Mac revealed about his excitement for the series:
“Getting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realized,” states Mac. “Ubisoft has been remarkably generous, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX family continues to lift me up with their constant belief and support.”
Noah also said that he really Far Cry franchise because of its anthology. Sadly, for now Far Cry TV series story, cast, or release date has not been announced.
