National Games 2023: Updated full schedule for Day 14, November 9

In a thrilling display of athletic prowess, the defending champions secured a commendable 10 gold medals, significantly closing the gap with the leading state of Maharashtra in the National Games 2023.
The Services contingent continued their impressive performance, trailing Maharashtra by a mere 11 gold medals, while simultaneously maintaining an eight-gold lead over the third-placed Haryana.
The highly anticipated football finals witnessed the Services men’s team triumph over Manipur with a resounding 3-1 victory in the gold medal match. Meanwhile, Kerala claimed victory over Punjab in the women’s event, clinching the gold on penalties.
Maharashtra continued to assert its dominance with a record-shattering tally of 220 medals, an incredible 75 of them being gold. The state’s athletes excelled in the men’s and women’s Kho-Kho events, securing two more gold medals by defeating Odisha with dominant results in both finals.
In an intense battle for supremacy, Services emerged victorious in the men’s kabaddi final, outscoring Haryana by a score of 34-25, thus clinching the gold.
Haryana had to settle for a silver medal in the women’s kabaddi final, as Himachal Pradesh secured the gold with a final score of 32-23. However, Haryana enjoyed a double gold triumph in the men’s and women’s hockey finals at the Peddem Sports Complex.
This year’s National Games continue to be a showcase of remarkable talent and intense competition, with athletes from across the nation striving to secure their place on the podium.
