Nandha Kumar Sekar is now a permanent Delhi Dynamos player for the highest transfer fee in Indian Football.
Indian Super League outfit Delhi Dynamos on Wednesday completed a permanent transfer of winger Nandhakumar from I-League side Chennai City FC. The 22-year old was initially signed on a loan deal at the start of the season, but following his impressive performances, the club has opted to sign the Chennai lad on a long-term contract.
Nandha has made five appearances for Dynamos this season and the youngster has made the left wing position his own following some commanding displays, most notably the 2-2 draw against Chennaiyin F.C. where he provided the assist for the first goal.
“I am delighted to have signed a permanent deal with Delhi Dynamos. The club and coach Portugal have believed in me and my game has gone from strength to strength over the past few months. I am hoping to give my best not just this season, but in the coming seasons as well,” an ecstatic Nandha said.
“Nandha has impressed us all with the effort he puts in training day-in-day-out. He is a quick learner and is someone who fits in perfectly well to my style of play here at Dynamos,” Coach Miguel Angel Portugal said.
While he is yet to find the back of the net for Dynamos, what has stood out about Nandha has been his determination both while going forward and helping out the defense. The winger has provided cover in the left back position when needed and his blistering pace has caused trouble to the opposition defense when going forward.
