Jamshedpur FC forward Gourav Mukhi came into the spotlight after scoring against Bengaluru FC last season in the Indian Super League.
Mukhi was named the youngest ever player to score in the league at the age of 16 years. Later the Indian FA, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) banned him for six months, citing an issue of age fraud.
However, the player has now been cleared to return to the fray after serving his six-month ban, which was slapped on him in November last year by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee.
Sources told IANS, "He was banned for age fraud, but he is clear to play after he submitted original documents to the AIFF. The federation had banned him for six months and had asked him to submit correct documents for CRS. He accepted the verdict and on completion of the ban, AIFF looked at his original documents and gave him clearance to participate in official events."

The youngster will hope to get his focus back in football away from the negativity. He will want to help his team this season whenever he gets a chance. The Jamshedpur-born forward will hope that his name will be on the lips of supporters, this time for all the right reasons.
