Nike and PSG reluctant to let Mbappe leave Paris
This could be a huge to Real Madrid's future plans.
Nike is set to ally with Paris St. Germain in the mission of keeping the World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe-Lottin at the Parc des Princes for many more seasons. The 20-year-old is said to be Real Madrid's person of interest, with Florentino Perez highly motivated to land the former AS Monaco sensation at the Valdebebas.
After achieving what would be very difficult to emulate in future, four Champions League titles in five years, Los Blancos finally bid adieu to their greatest legend ever along with Alfredo Di Stefano, Cristiano Ronaldo (as per the poll conducted by MARCA wherein a million readers voted for the greatest legends of each clubs).
The goodbye wasn't a sweet one for Los Blancos and what has followed the departure of Ronaldo can be pointed out as perhaps the biggest failure of Florentino Perez's presidential stays at the Valdebebas. To clean up the mess, Perez has been rumoured to be ready to shell out all the money a squad rebuilding will need with some of the biggest names of the game linked with a move.
Of all two players who certainly won't be joining Los Blancos this summer are PSG's most coveted duo of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. While Neymar is no more Perez's obsession, Mbappe's release-clause won't let Perez have him this summer. But the Blancos president does know how to pull off a heist.
The plan of the 72-year-old is to persuade Mbappe into not signing an extension, and then forcing the French leaders to sell him off - a trait that seems to be the way Real Madrid do business these days. They got themselves a world-class goalkeeper in Thibaut Courtois and are soon to get Eden Hazard the same way.
Mbappe ever since has burst into the scenes with Monaco, has been the darling of some of the biggest clubs of the world. Everyone has had flirted for a move for the teenage sensation. In his very first full season with AS Monaco, at the age of 18, Mbappe scored 25+ goals powering the Monaco-based club to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and winning the Ligue 1, ending the dominance of his current side PSG.

It led the Paris club to sign the youngster on loan for a season from AS Monaco, later having the option of making the deal permanent for 180 million euros. The then 19-year-old continued his meteoric progress with the Parisian club, scoring 20+ goals again throughout the season and winning the Ligue 1 again. They were, however, unfortunate to get eliminated by Los Blancos from the Champions League in the Round of 16.
The dismal performance of the youngster in the two-legged tie, if would have created any doubts in the minds of those at the hierarchy of the Paris club, the splendid World Cup outing would have ensured Nasser Al-Khelaifi and co that Mbappe is there to stay among the elites. PSG wasted no time in making the loan move a permanent one.
Now that the question has arisen over the World Cup winners future, PSG would look to tie him down with a long-term deal. But with a contract extension for Neymar nearing as well, the Qatari sponsored club find themselves in look for a fix - a fix that would cost them enough money to get into the UEFA FFP controversies again.
But to the relief of Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Nike are said to be ready to help the Parisian club and tie the French youngster with the club for many more years. The French club have been looking everywhere for deals that could sponsor them money for the lucrative deals that they have to offer the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and others.
One such deal that they recently signed is with the hotel group Accor, who will replace the Fly Emirates on the shirt. The deal offers PSG as much as 60 million euros per season, which is the biggest in the history of French football, as reported by MARCA.

While the deal is said to offer the Parisian club 25 millions more than what they were pocketing every year from the American company, not much of the details have been available on the same. The current deal was to run until 2022, but Nike had to sponsor PSG and so they are signing the deal anyways.
With two consecutive failures of PSG in the most desired trophy of European football, wherein Real Madrid are the favourites even before the competition starts, someone like Mbappe would be keen to pen down a deal with the La Liga side. But what stands between the two parties is the ally of Nike and PSG.
