Higuain and Hazard look like a pair who want to work together- Pat Nevin

The former Blues star was highly impressed with the way the Argentinean striker performed against Huddersfield.
Gonzalo Higuain might have played just two games for his new club Chelsea, but he has already impressed fans with his performance especially in the last one against Huddersfield Town. The Argentine scored a brace along with the Blues’ starman Eden Hazard during a 5-0 thrashing of the Terriers in their Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.
It was a perfect outing for the duo as they linked up well in the attack and showed a glimpse of the exciting times that are to come for the Blues. Interestingly, former Chelsea star and pundit Pat Nevin was one of the admirers of the pair and suggested that their on-field combination will only work perfectly for Maurizio Sarri for the rest of the season.
Chelsea have not been in their top form barring the last couple of fixtures, however, since Higuain’s arrival, a sense of positivity has been generated within the club and its fans. The 31-year-old comes with a huge experience having played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo while at Real Madrid and also under Sarri during his days in the Serie A with Napoli.
On the other hand, Nevin couldn’t help but heap praise on the striking partnership between Hazard and Higuain saying, “Maybe the most obvious thing learned is that Hazard and Gonzalo look like a pair who want to work together.”

I think Sarri will be happy now- Eden Hazard
“It is always the first thing you look for when you come to a club, someone who can operate on your wavelength, and clearly the Argentinean striker has clocked Eden and knows a good thing when he sees it,” he added.
“Other defences will be sturdier, but those sort of link-ups were just what were needed so early in their relationship. If you play with a player who has certain runs he particularly likes to make, then it is that much easier to find him. You don’t even have to look before passing; you just know he will be there. The lovely little pass by N’Golo Kante for the opener showed it perfectly,” said the 55-year-old.

The on-loan striker is all set to feature for the Blues along with Hazard once again as rejuvenated Chelsea meet Manchester City in a crisp tie at the Etihad Stadium.
