The German manager was absolutely delighted as his side lifted the trophy for the first time ever.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says winning the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time has given him an absolutely sensational feeling. There was a time in his career when the current Reds' manager lost seven finals in a row. In the past one year though, he has won the UEFA Champions League, the Super Cup and now the Club World Cup. Additionally, his club is well on course to win their maiden Premier League title. They have garnered 49 points from 18 matches with 17 victories and no losses to their name. Before the game I said I don't know exactly how it would feel [to win the cup] but now I can say it's outstanding. Absolutely sensational. I am so proud of the boys and couldn't be better.” [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Manchester United was the last English team to win the Club World Cup back in 2008. This time, Liverpool defeated Flamengo in a closely contested match that was decided by a single goal from Roberto Firmino in the 99th minute. This victory has added another feather to Klopp’s hat. His whose time at Liverpool has taken a wonderful turn with silverware now complementing the incredible work and turnaround that he has brought to the club. He further emphasized on the game by saying, “We are all kind of exhausted from a very intense game. It was an incredible performance, an incredibly difficult game against a good opponent. I saw so many sensationally good performances and I'm really happy. The atmosphere in the stadium was great. I think we deserved the win tonight, we were the better side.” Liverpool will now face Leicester City in their next match in the Premier League. The Reds have no time to rest as this game could potentially take them 13 points clear of the Foxes.
