The 22-year-old came through the ranks at The Mariners' youth setup.

With the transfer window in full throttle before the 2019-20 domestic football season, Khel Now can confirm that Mohun Bagan sensation Pintu Mahata will be joining his outfit's eternal rivals East Bengal.

According to Khel Now sources, "the move is finalised and will be announced soon." Meanwhile, according to other sources, the move will be announced today itself.

The West Bengal-based club had recently revealed a teaser, hinting at an impending arrival.

The 22-year-old appeared seven times during the 2018-19 I-League season and has been a part of The Mariners' youth setup for quite some time. Heralded as an upcoming star, the winger's move comes after the club recently signed Boithang Haokip from Bengaluru FC.
