The Indian attackers from both sides ceased to impress in the draw.
Chennaiyin FC took on the newly formed Odisha FC following their dramatic victory over Hyderabad FC, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. The game ended with two goals apiece. Goals from Valskis, Hernandez and Aridane saw the points shared. We at Khel Now bring to you the ratings of all the Indian players taking part in what was a crucial game for both sides.Chennaiyin FC
Vishal Kaith - 6 A commanding performance from the Chennaiyin goalkeeper against Odisha. Kaith managed three clearances, two collections and four punches, over the course of the 90 minutes. There was very little he could do to stop the Odisha goal as the ball rattled off him into the path of Xisco Hernandez. However, with only 30% of his passes completed, Kaith will want to work on his distribution. Tondonba Singh - 6.5 A performance that struggled to merit superlatives from the left back. Tondonba Singh offered little going forward with a passing accuracy of just 56%. However, the number 3 did play his part in defence with four clearances, two interceptions, and two blocks. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Edwin Sydney Vanspaul - 7.5 Perhaps the pick of the Chennaiyin defenders, Edwin Vanspaul put in a vintage performance from right-back. The former Chennai City FC man maintained a passing accuracy of 90% in the first half and looked a constant threat to the opposition defence, while also keeping up with his own defensive duties. Anirudh Thapa - 7.5 Yet another neat and tidy display from the midfielder who registered a passing accuracy of 81%. He also chipped in defensively with three interceptions and two blocked shots. Gregory will hope for more going forward from his star youngster. Thoi Singh - 6.5 A mixed outing for the winger who is finding his way back into the Chennaiyin FC starting lineup. Thoi created three chances and even registered an assist to Nerijus Valskis in the second half. However, the 29 year-old was let down by his wayward passing, completing just 52% of the passes he attempted in the 63 minutes that he was on the pitch. Lallianzuala Chhangte - 5 Chhangte will be disappointed with his performance against Odisha, with just a 45% passing accuracy as he still waits for his first goal or assist for the club. Chhangte made four crosses, which is the sum total of his contribution on the pitch.Substitutes
Germanpreet Singh - 5.5 Brought onto the pitch to replace Saighani in the second half, Germanpreet would have been hoping to nail down a place in the starting line up, but it was not to be, as he delivered an anonymous performance from midfield.Odisha FC
Arshdeep Singh - 6 Just like Kaith in the opposing net, Singh was commanding in his penalty box when he could be. The goalkeeper was left helpless for both of Chennaiyin's goals. However, he managed to complete 72% of his passes, making four catches. Shubham Sarangi - 7.5 Quite an imposing performance from the Odisha centre back. Sarangi made three successful tackles, four clearances and four interceptions over the course of the match. Definitely the pick from the Odisha defenders. Narayan Das - 6 The Odisha FC left back completed an impressive 75% of his passes but failed to complete a single cross against Chennaiyin. Das, however, made four clearances and one interception during the match. Vinit Rai - 6 A decent performance from the highly-rated midfielder, while he was on the pitch. Rai managed a passing accuracy of 90% in the first half, creating one chance and making 2 interceptions. However, he was replaced at half time by Bikramjit Singh.Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 6
With 44% passing accuracy, Jerry will be disappointed with his performance in attack against Chennaiyin. The attacker played an important role in Odisha's first goal as it was his shot that rebounded off Vishal Kaith into the path of Xisco Hernandez. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Nandhakumar Sekar - 6.5 Quite an average performance from the attacking midfielder who only managed a passing accuracy of 43%. It is something that is sure to frustrate his manager. Sekar did, however, play a role in Odisha's first goal as he found Jerry in space with a pinpoint ball.Substitutes
Bikramjit Singh - 5.5 Yet another Odisha FC player who will be disappointed with his passing accuracy (55%). Bikramjit Singh was brought on to replace Vinit Rai in the second half. The midfielder was solid in his defensive duties but struggled to provide much going forward. Daniel Lalhlimpuia - 5 The attacker was largely anonymous for the time he was on the pitch with just seven touches of the ball.Latest News
