Harry Redknapp: Spurs are going through funny spell under Jose Mourinho

The Middlesbrough manager believes Tottenham are capable of defeating Liverpool on Saturday.

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp waived-off Jose Mourinho as the reason for Spurs' current slump in form under the Portuguese. The 72-year old believes the reasons behind Spurs' current on-field issues go beyond the manager. Mourinho had a great start to life at Tottenham winning his first three games but has since gone on a barren run of late having won the same amount of games in the next nine so far. They lost their previous league game against Southampton and were almost dumped out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough before Lucas Moura's equaliser saved their blushes and gave them another chance. The last 25 games with Poch in charge the form was for whatever reason, they were going along so well and then suddenly that big run of bad form. And the form at the moment has been up and down too really." "Jose has gone in there, we know his record, it's incredible, but no-one's got a magic wand and at the moment it seems the team just doesn't look right. Bad result the other day at Southampton, a couple of iffy performances, lucky to get away with it at Norwich," Redknapp added as per Mirror. Spurs and Mourinho face their toughest assignment as they welcome rampant leaders Liverpool to North London on Saturday. Harry Redknapp put trust in Jose Mourinho and Co's capabilities despite mentioning the visitors' poor form this season.
