It will be a tough encounter against the European giants as they lost against these opponents in Pool fixtures of the FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup. The biggest concern will be delivering a strong performance after a convincing defeat at the hands of Germany in the previous match. India will need to do better when they take to the pitch against the French who lost to Argentina in the semi-final. India will look to deliver a strong defensive performance and will hope to score more goals going forward.

The FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2021 is taking place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Tokyo Olympics medalist Vivek Sagar Prasad is leading the title defence of India in the tournament. India is only the second team to win multiple titles in the competition with the first one being Germany.
All the teams in the FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2021 are divided into four groups -Pool A, Pool B, Pool C and Pool D – with four teams each. They will each play three pool matches, with the top two from each pool progressing to the quarter-finals of the tournament. The first and second-placed teams from Pool A and Pool B will face each other in the last eight. And the third and fourth teams will play each in the classification rounds for their tournament placements. The Indian team was in Pool B and faced Poland, Canada and France for the pool stage matches.
