Google has recently unveiled the top-10 highest-ranked athletes in the world, based on their search popularity on the renowned search engine platform in 2023. Surprisingly, this time, some of the prominent figures in the sports world were notably absent from this list.

Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were notably absent from the list, despite their recent transfers and constant media coverage. The names of Indian cricket superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were also noticeably missing from the list.

Here are the top 10 most googled athletes in 2023. 

10. Kyrie Irving

The other NBA player who has been included in the list is Kyrie Irving, who currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks. He gained considerable attention when he was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Mavericks in February. His consistent performances in the NBA make him a frequent topic of discussion among fans.

9. Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill, known as the ‘Prince of Indian Cricket’, has surpassed illustrious names such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar in the rankings.
