Indian athletes mark Olympic Day 2025 with inspiring posts, throwbacks, and a nationwide call to move

Olympic gold medalists Abhinav Bindra, Neeraj Chopra and several other of India’s finest sports personalities joined in marking the Olympic Day 2025 on June 23. The day honours the birth of the modern Olympic Games and encourages people around the world to get active and embrace the values of excellence, friendship, and respect.

Several top athletes, including badminton icon, PV Sindhu, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share inspiring posts. While some shared their favourite Olympic memories, others issued movement challenges to their followers.

India’s Winter Olympian Shiva Keshavan reminded fans of the deeper meaning of sport while shooter Manu Bhaker reflected on her journey from Paris 2024 with pride and hope for the future.

The celebration extended beyond individual athletes. The BCCI, Indian Olympic Association (IOA), and training institutions like Reliance Foundation amplified the campaign through interactive posts, flash events, and athlete meetups, reinforcing the idea that sport connects communities beyond medals.
