Paris Olympics 2024 Badminton Draw: Full list of groups
Men’s doubles draw was delayed due to a legal dispute.
The recently conducted badminton draw for Paris Olympics 2024 offered mixed fortunes to Indian shuttlers. While the MS, WS, WD and XD draws for group stage took place, the men’s doubles draw was held up due to legal tussles between BWF and French Association.
Former World Champion and two-time Olympic medallist, PV Sindhu, will run into strong Chinese challengers early in the competition. HS Prannoy should go through easily, at least in the starting rounds, but Lakshya Sen may not be that lucky and will have to confront the World No. #3 Jonatan Christie early in the opening rounds. In effect, what awaits the Indian shuttler en route to Olympic glory is a mixed bag of challenges and opportunities.
On a broader prospective, a potential showdown between current World Champion An Se Young and former World Champion Akane Yamaguchi looks possible in the quarterfinals. Former World Champion Ratchanok Intanon is drawn in the same group as Tai Tzu Ying.

In women’s doubles, Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan find themselves in a tricky situation drawn against three of world’s top 13 pairs. Home favourite Toma Jr. Popov has been drawn against Tokyo bronze medallist Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.
Delve into the Group Stage draws of men’s singles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
