Aman Sehrawat will hope to add a bronze medal to India’s tally on Friday.

After heartbreaks on Wednesday (August7), India finally added a fourth medal to its tally at Paris Olympics 2024 with the Indian men’s hockey team clinching a bronze medal after beating Spain 2-1 in the third-fourth place playoff match.

On August 9 (Day 14), Aman Sehrawat will eye India’s first medal in wrestling at Paris Olympics 2024 as he will be in action in the bronze medal match in men’s 57kg category. Aman had done brilliantly on Day 13 to reach the semi-final in his category, winning his opening two bouts via technical superiority. However, he went down against the top seed and Olympic medallist Rei Higuchi of Japan.

Apart from Aman, the Indian relay teams will also be in action, vying for a place in the semifinals. The men’s relay team of Muhammad Anas Yahiya, Muhammad Ajmal, Amoj Jacob and Rajesh Ramesh, who finished fifth in the World 2023, will carry high hopes for India.

In the women’s relay, Kiran Pahal, who clocked the best Indian time this season in women’s 400m, might get a chance. Apart from her, Jyothika Sri Dandi, M Poovamma Raju and Vithya Ramraj are part of the Indian women’s relay team.

Golfers Aditi Ashok, who agonizingly came close to win a medal in Tokyo Olympics, and Diksha Dagar, the Deaflympian champion, are both well in contention and would like to add that extra medal for India and a first in golf. Look at India’s schedule on Day 14:
