Paris Olympics 2024 Day 3 results: Manu Bhaker inches closer to history, Lakshya Sen wins

Indian athletes were in action across multiple disciplines on the third day of Paris Olympics 2024.
Indian athletes have been performing consistently at the Paris Olympics 2024. They were in action across multiple disciplines such as archery, badminton, shooting, hockey and table tennis.
Shuttler Lakshya Sen won his contest against Belgium’s Julien Carraggi in staright games to stay in the driving seat. But there was disappointment in store for the pair of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa who lost their match against Japanese opponents in the badminton women’s doubles.
In shooting, Indian pair of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh qualified for the bronze medal match, keeping hopes of a medal alive in 10m air pistol mixed team event at Paris Olympics 2024. Meanwhile Arjun Babuta missed a bronze medal narrowly in the men’s 10m Air rifle event. Ramita Jindal was also in action in women’s 10m Air rifle was unable to secure a medal despite a valiant effort.
Indian men’s hockey team played a draw with Argentina as captain Harmanpreet Singh scored in a close encounter. There was a lot to digest for the Indian fans who were supporting their athletes from back home with passion and unwavering dedication.
