Paris Olympics 2024: IOA announces key officials for Indian contingent, Mary Kom to lead delegation

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) is proud to announce the appointment of key officials for India’s contingent at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. These appointments represent a blend of experience, expertise, and leadership that will contribute significantly to the success of our athletes on the global stage.
Leading the delegation as the Chef de Mission will be none other than the iconic boxer, Mary Kom. Her unparalleled dedication to sports and inspiring journey make her a natural choice to guide and mentor our athletes at the Olympics.
Assisting Mary Kom in this crucial role will be Shiva Keshavan, appointed as the Deputy Chef de Mission. Keshavan, a former Olympian in luge, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to support the team’s management and coordination efforts.
In charge of overseeing the shooting village operations will be Gagan Narang, a renowned shooting champion and a respected figure in the Indian sports community. His meticulous approach and understanding of athlete needs will ensure a conducive environment for our shooters.
Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala has been appointed as the Chief Medical Officer, responsible for the health and well-being of our athletes throughout the Games. Dr. Pardiwala’s expertise and commitment to sports medicine will be invaluable in maintaining the fitness and performance levels of our contingent.
Mr. G Rajaraman will be the IOA’s Press Attaché for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Mr. G Rajaraman brings a wealth of experience in sports journalism and communications, having served in various capacities in the sports industry. His expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring effective media coverage and communication strategies during the prestigious event.
Mr. Sarvesh Kedia, with his background in digital marketing and social media management, will spearhead IOA’s social media initiatives, engaging fans and followers across platforms and showcasing the journey of Indian athletes at the Games.
