Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray will play their final games campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2024 Olympics will feature some of the biggest names in tennis, with many of them vying for the ultimate prize in the world’s biggest sporting event. While familiar faces like Carlos Alcaraz, and Coco Gauff will be making their Olympic debuts, legends such as Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and possibly Novak Djokovic will be competing in their final Olympic Games.
This major event will unfold at the iconic Roland-Garros, a venue brimming with special memories for two exceptional players—Rafael Nadal and Iga Świątek, both hailed as the finest on clay.
According to the official entry list released on July 4 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), 183 players from 40 nations make up the initial field. Russian and Belarusian athletes will be permitted to compete under a neutral flag due to the ongoing conflict involving Russia and Ukraine.
The singles draws will feature 64 competitors, while 32 teams will battle it out in both the men’s and women’s doubles events. Additionally, the 16 mixed doubles entries will be finalized on July 23.
The Paris Olympics will feature three out of the five defending champions, who will hope to repeat their Tokyo 2020 heroics: Alexander Zverev (men’s singles), Nikola Mektic-Mate Pavic (men’s doubles) and Barbora Krejcikova-Katerina Siniakova (women’s doubles).
The competition will also feature former gold medalists Rafael Nadal (2008 men’s singles, 2016 men’s doubles), Andy Murray (2012 and 2016 men’s singles) and Stan Wawrinka (2008 men’s doubles) as they aim to add to their already illustrious collection of titles.
Without further delay, let’s have a look at all the tennis players who will be representing their country in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
