Madhusmita Jena completes Manchester marathon in traditional Indian attire

The 41-year-old ran the 42.5 km long Adidas Manchester Marathon under five hours.

A UK-based 41-year-old woman from Odisha, Madhusmita Jena, made headlines after running a 42.5 km Manchester marathon on April 16, 2023, on Sunday. The Odia woman completed the marathon with an impressive timing of 4 hours and 50 minutes while wearing a traditional Sambalpuri handloom saree.

While proudly showcasing her Indian heritage, she also presents an inviting perspective on the quintessential #Indian attire.

A total of 28000 runners took part in the Adidas Manchester marathon which is one of UK's premier running events.
