Shooting Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun: Schedule, results, India squad and live streaming details

Asian Games 2023 silver medallist Anantjeet Singh Naruka will spearhead the Indian contingent.
Kuwait is all set to host the Shooting Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun from January 12 to January 22, at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Range complex in Sulaibiya. The event will witness the participation of 12 Indian shooters competing for Olympic quotas in various shotgun events.
The Indian contingent will be led by the likes of Asian Games 2023 silver medalist skeet shooter Anantjeet Singh Naruka, and Manisha Keer who was a key member of India’s silver-medal victory in the women’s team trap event at the Asiad.

After his impressive outing at the continental event, Naruka will be one of India’s biggest hopes at the Shotgun qualifiers as he will look to secure a quota in the skeet event. He narrowly missed out on the Paris 2024 quota as he finished fourth in the Asian Shooting Championship 2023.
India at the Shooting Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun
The Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun will have eight Paris Olympics 2024 quota places up for grabs. So far, India has secured a total of two quotas in shotgun events, both in trap disciplines. Hence, the shooters will have their eyes set on the remaining six quotas – two in trap and four in skeet events.
Ganemat Sekhon, the silver medalist of the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Raiza Dhillon who won the women’s national selection trials are among the few athletes to watch out for in the women’s skeet event. Meanwhile, former men’s trap world champion Manavjit Singh will mark his return to the international arena at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers Shotgun 2024.

Bhowneesh Mendiratta, who became the first shooter to win a Paris Olympics 2024 quota for India, will also be in action at the Olympic qualifiers. However, he will compete for the ranking points (RPO), and will not be eligible for medal matches.

Where and how to watch live telecast and live streaming of Shooting Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun?
The live streaming of the Asian Olympic Qualifiers Shotgun 2024 will be available on the ISSF YouTube channel. However, there won’t be any live telecast for the event on any TV channel in India.
