Asian Shooting Championships Rifle/Pistol 2024: Schedule, fixtures, results, squad and live streaming details

A total of 16 Paris Olympic qualifying quotas are up for grabs.

The Asian Shooting Championships Rifle/Pistol 2024 is slated to be held from January 5th to January 17th 2024, in Jakarta, Indonesia. This will be the 17th edition of the continental championship, and a total of 16 quotas for the Paris Olympic Games will be up for grabs.

This will be the penultimate Paris Olympic qualification tournament which will offer quotas as far as Indian interest is concerned. India has already completed its rifle quota, so this will serve as more of a practise for the Indian rifle team. On the contrary, the pistol team will be hoping to earn the remaining quota places available. So far, Indian shooting contingent has won 13 quotas (Rifle – 8, Pistol – 3, Shotgun – 2).

India at the Asian Shooting Championship 2023

In the previous edition, the Indian team secured the second spot in the medal tally with 59 medals (21 gold, 22 silver, and 16 bronze medals), with China leading with 35 gold medals. In the senior section, India finished third with 19 medals (gold – 6, silver – 8, bronze – 5 medals), trailing behind China (14 gold medals) and Korea (nine gold medals).

Moreover, the Indian team also earned a total of six quotas (three in rifle, two in pistol, and one in skeet).

Where and how to watch live telecast and live streaming of the Asian Shooting Championships Rifle/Pistol 2024 live in India?

The Asian Shooting Championships Rifle/Pistol 2024 will be streamed on the Olympic channel via Olympics.com, which only includes the live streaming of the final matches. In addition, the YouTube channel of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is also set to stream the event. Unfortunately, there is no broadcast available for the competition.
