ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship Rifle/Pistol 2024: Schedule, results, India squad, live streaming details

India will eye only one remaining quota in Rifle/Pistol events.
The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 for the Rifle/Pistol is all set to be held from April 12 to April 19, at the Centro Militar de Tiro Esportivo (CMTE) Olympic Shooting Centre in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This will be the most important event for the rifle/pistol shooters who are aiming to win Paris Olympics quota places for their respective nations (National Olympic Committees). So far, Indians have bagged all the quotas in the rifle/pistol events except for one quota in the women’s 10m air pistol event. As a result, only shooters from this discipline will be representing India in the tournament.

The Indian contingent will be led by the Asian Games 2023 gold medalist Palak Gulia. Gulia, who set the championship record of 242.1 points in the finals of the 10m air pistol event at the Asiad 2023, will look to deliver an impressive performance at the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024.
The other two shooters who will be in contention are Surbhi Rao and Sainyam. Surbhi played a crucial role in India’s silver medal win at the mixed air pistol event alongside Sarabjot Singh at the Asian Shooting Championships 2023.
While Sainyam became the junior world champion in the same event after she scored 242.2 points in the final to claim gold at the ISSF World Championships 2023 held in Changwon, Korea. Palak, Surbhi, and Sainyam will have to put on their best show at the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship to clinch the remaining quota in rifle/pistol events for India.
