India has 12-member contingent vying for four Olympic spots.

India’s hunt for remaining Paris 2024 Olympics shooting quotas enters its final stretch as a 12-member Indian contingent aims for quota spots at the upcoming ISSF Shotgun Olympic Qualifiers 2024, which will begin from April 23 (Tuesday)in Doha, Qatar.

Having already secured 20 quotas across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines, Indian shooters now eye the four remaining berths in the shotgun category. Each nation is entitled to a maximum of two quotas per shotgun event.

Tokyo Olympians Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Angadvir Singh Bajwa spearhead India’s quest in men’s skeet, alongside Sheeraz Sheikh. The experienced Vivaan Kapoor, Zoravar Singh Sandhu, and Prithviraj Tondaiman form a formidable trio in men’s trap.

In the women’s events, Asian Games bronze medalist Ganemat Sekhon leads India’s charge in skeet, while the seasoned Shreyasi Singh and young Manisha Keer shoulder expectations in trap.

Only the top two shooters in each event, with a maximum of one per country, can secure quotas, provided their nation hasn’t already attained its full allocation.

A successful campaign in Doha would propel India’s shooting contingent at the Paris Olympics to unprecedented numbers, surpassing the 15-strong squad from Tokyo 2020.

Where and how to watch live telecast and live streaming of ISSF Shotgun Olympic Qualifiers 2024?

The ISSF Final Shotgun Olympic Qualification Championship will be live-streamed on the ISSF’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. However, there is no live telecast of the Olympic shotgun qualifier 2024 on any TV channel in India.
