World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024: Schedule, fixtures, results, India squad, live streaming details

Tournament is scheduled on February 16.
The Indian table tennis teams will commence their journey towards the Paris Olympics 2024 at the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024, scheduled from February 16 to February 25 in Busan, South Korea. India are among the 40 participating teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. Each category is divided into eight groups, with each group comprising five teams.
Eight Olympic team quotas are available in men’s and women’s events. This means that any team reaching the quarterfinals will secure a spot at the Paris Olympics 2024.
If a team that progresses to the quarterfinals has already secured an Olympic quota, the remaining Olympic spots will be allocated based on the World Team Rankings as of March 2024. As of now, the Indian men’s and women’s table tennis teams have not yet secured their quotas for the Paris 2024.
India at the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024
The Indian team, led by a 10-member contingent, will compete at the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024. The contingent includes Tokyo Olympians Sharath Kamal, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Manika Batra, Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar, Sreeja Akula, and Ayhika Mukherjee.
In the men’s category, India are placed in Group 3, including host South Korea, Poland, Chile, and New Zealand. On the other hand, the women’s team are in Group 1, alongside formidable opponents such as China, Hungary, Spain, and Uzbekistan.
Each match will consist of five singles games, with the team winning the first three games declared the winner of the match. The finals for the women’s team are scheduled for February 24, while the men’s team finals will be held on February 25.

Where and how to watch live telecast and live streaming of World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024?
The live streaming of the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024 will be available on the YouTube channel of World Table Tennis (WTT). However, the event won’t be available for live telecast on any TV channels in India.
