Manika Batra is ruled out of Ultimate Table Tennis 2025.
Manika Batra will not play in the sixth edition of the Ultimate Table Tennis, as she withdrew from the tournament due to an injury. She sustained an injury during the World Table Tennis Championships 2025 and is currently undergoing rehab.
Ahmedabad SG Pipers signed Manika Batra during the inaugural Ultimate Table Tennis auction. The Pipers have announced 27-year-old Ayhika Mukherjee as her replacement for the UTT 2025.
Ayhika was part of Puneri Paltan TT (now defunct) in the previous edition of the Ultimate Table Tennis and earlier opted out of the UTT 2025 player auction. However, with Manika ruled out of the tournament, Ayhika agreed to join the Ahmedabad-based franchise as her replacement.
The upcoming edition of the Ultimate Table Tennis will take place from May 31 to June 15 at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad SG Pipers finished second in the UTT points table in their maiden appearance with 42 points from five ties. They won three of five ties and registered victories in 17 matches last season.
Despite their fine run in the group stage, the season hosts crashed out of the tournament following a 6-8 loss to Dabang Delhi TTC in the semi-final clash.
