WTT Champions Frankfurt 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Sreeja Akula and Manika Batra are sole Indians in fray.
The WTT Champions Frankfurt 2024, the last Series event before WTT Finals Fukuoka 2024, led off with a USD 500,000 prize purse, with all singles champions to receive 30,000 USD with 1000 ITTF World Ranking points.
Lin Yun-Ju has been seeded as No. #8 and will meet Alexis Lebrun of France in the round of 32. In his last WTT Series appearance, Lin captured his sole title since coming back as he downed Ma Long at Frankfurt in 2023; Lin is set to fight to regain form.
In the women’s singles, 2023 champion Wang Yidi will come in as the No. #2 seed. Although she hasn’t captured a WTT Series singles title since last year’s victory in Frankfurt, Wang has contested finals at Singapore Smash, WTT Champions Macao, and WTT Contender Taiyuan in 2024 and has been in brilliant form.
India’s hopes lie in Frankfurt with Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula. The World No. #26 Batra showed really good form in WTT Champions Montpellier as she progressed to quarterfinals before eventually losing to Qian Tianyi in the quarter-final.
India’s top table tennis player, Sreeja Akula, had a tough time at the Montpellier event, getting knocked out in the Round of 32 after losing to Adriana Diaz. However, Sreeja might get a chance to turn things around as she faces a rematch against Adriana Diaz in Frankfurt.
The tournament marks a crucial point in the WTT calendar as the players look to claim crucial ranking points ahead of the WTT Finals in Fukuoka. Last year’s event was marked by dramatic wins, including those of Wang Yidi in the semifinals against World No. #1 Sun Yingsha and in the final against Wang Manyu.
