WTT Contender Rio de Janeiro 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

India has sent six-member squad.

After the WTT Feeder Cappadocia event in Turkey, the caravan of table tennis moved to the southwestern part of the Earth’s hemisphere in Rio, Brazil. The WTT Contender Rio de Janeiro 2024 will occur from May 20 to 26 at the Arena Carioca 1, Brazil.

The Indian pairs-bound athletes Manav Thakkar and Harmeet Desai will be taking part in this competition. Indian youngster Payas Jain will also be competing in this tournament and will look to impress us with his skills.

Sreeja Akula and Manika Batra (who lost in the quarterfinals of WTT Feeder Cappadocia) have skipped this event. A total of eight single wildcards have been given in this tournament, six by the host nation and two by WTT nomination.

All six host wildcards have been given to Brazil (3 men’s singles and 3 women’s singles). WTT has nominated two athletes: Jules Roland of France in men’s singles and Sibel Altinakaya of Turkey in women’s singles
