Nine-time champions Novak Djokovic will be in action in the fourth round.
Number one seed Iga Swiatek lost to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in straight sets which was a major upset on day 7 of the Australian Open 2023. Another top-10 American, Coco Gauff, had to make an early exit losing to Jelena Ostapenko. In the men's singles, Sebastian Korda made it to the quarter-finals defeating 10th seed Hubert Hurkacz which is also the teenager's maiden quarter-final appearance at a grand slam. Among the Indian participants, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Sriram Balaji lost in the second round to the French pair of Jeremy Chary and Martin in straight sets (4-6, 4-6). Sania Mirza and Anna Danilina also made an early exit losing to Van Uytvanck and Anhelina Kalininia (4-6, 6-4, 2-6).
