Serena Williams and Chris Evert have won joint most titles at Flushing Meadows.

The US Open is the season-ending Grand Slam followed by Wimbledon, French Open and Australian Open in chronological order. In the female men’s singles, Serena Williams has won six US Open championships in the last 15 years which is the most at the competition. However, she shares the Open Era titles record with another legend Chris Evert.

America’s Chris Evert won four straight US Open titles between 1975 and 1978. She also achieved a record of six championships overall with her victories in 1980 and 1982, which she shares with Serena Williams. Meanwhile, Steffi Graf has cliched the Major five times and in the Open Era.

List of players who won the US Open titles without dropping a set:

With no sets dropped, Margaret Court won the title in 1969 followed by Billie Jean King in 1971 and 1972, Chris Evert in 1976, 1977 and 1978, Martina Navratilova in 1983 and 1987, Monica Seles in 1992, Steffi Graf in 1996, Martina Hingis in 1997 and Lindsay Davenport in 1998.

In the 21st century, Venus Williams in 2001, Serena Williams in 2002, 2008 and 2014, Justine Henin in 2007 and Emma Raducanu in 2021 have won the title without dropping a set.
