Prediction
Coco Gauff is known to be quick off the blocks, and should she get a break of serve, it will that much harder for her opponent to recover. Caroline Dolehide will need to wrest the first set from Gauff if she is to stand a chance of progressing to the third round.
Gauff is fresh from defending her ASB Classic title against Elina Svitolina. The 4th ranked American has a win-loss record of 40-9 on hard courts in 2023. Dolehide has her task cut out if she hopes to make a good run at the first Grand Slam of the season.
Result: Coco Gauff to win in straight sets.
