Emma Raducanu will make her comeback

The Australian Open 2024, the first major of the year, will kick off on Sunday, January 14, with some exciting clashes for the fans. The event, which will take place at Melbourne Park, will feature Novak Djokovic, the 10-time winner, who will chase his 11th crown and 25th grand slam title in the two-week tournament.

Djokovic, the reigning champion and the world’s top-ranked player, will start his campaign against Croatia’s Dino Prizmic in the opening round. The Serbian ace, who has clinched the Australian Open in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023, will aim to continue his supremacy in Melbourne.

For British fans, Emma Raducanu will make her comeback at a major event against Shelby Rogers of the USA at the Australian Open. Another Briton Katie Boulter paired with China’s Yuan Yue and Jodie Burrage matched with Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch.

Andy Murray is the only British man to encounter a seed in the Australian Open. If the Scot reaches the third round, he will likely meet top seed Novak Djokovic, who will begin against a qualifier.

Cameron Norrie will play against Peru’s Juan Pablo Varillas, with Jack Draper taking on Marcos Giron of the USA and Dan Evans facing Lorenzo Sonego of Italy.
