Novak Djokovic is equaled with Roger Federer for the most number of titles

The world’s top tennis players have converged on the Coachella Valley in California for the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, also known as the Indian Wells Open 2024. This year’s tournament has already started making waves in the sports world, with the return of some of the biggest names in tennis.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is making his first appearance at the tournament since 2019, marking a highly anticipated return. Fans are eager to see Djokovic back in action at Indian Wells, a venue where he has previously found great success. Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz is also set to participate, joining a star-studded list of players. Alcaraz will be looking to defend his title and continue his impressive run of form.

On the women’s side, World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will feature in the tournament. Defending champion Elena Rybakina will be aiming to retain her title, facing stiff competition from a host of big names including Naomi Osaka, Venus Williams, Emma Raducanu, Angelique Kerber, and Coco Gauff.

The legendary Roger Federer, along with Novak Djokovic, holds the record for most number of titles (men) at this event, with five apiece.
