Carlos Alcaraz steps into ABN AMRO Open 2025 as the top seed.

Carlos Alcaraz replaces Jannik Sinner as the top seed in Rotterdam after the Italian announced his withdrawal from the event. The World No. #1 is the defending champion at the ABN Amro Open. After a quarter-final exit at the Australian Open, Alcaraz will now have a chance to close the gap with his main rival on the men’s tour.

The 2021 champion Andrey Rublev shares space with Alcaraz in the top half of the draw, while 2023 titlist Daniil Medvedev is the second seed. Alcaraz and Medvedev are seeded to clash in the finals. Stan Wawrinka, the winner in 2016, faced Medvedev in the opening round.

Medvedev will also have to contend with Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alex de Minaur, and Arthur Fils in his half of the draw. Both De Minaur and Fils are potential semi-final opponents for the Russians.

Along with Botic van de Zandschulp, two other Dutchmen – Tallon Griekspoor and Mees Rottgering will be looking to become the first since 1998 from the Netherlands to win in Rotterdam. Jan Siemerink was the last Dutchman to win the ABN Amro trophy.
