Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus demonstrated more than just her brilliant tennis skills during the ongoing US Open 2026. The World No. 1 left everyone stunned at Flushing Meadows in a custom jewellery suite of more than 127 carats of colourful gems.
Designed by New York luxury jeweller Material Good, the suite draws inspiration from the city’s energy and multiculturalism. Sabalenka is a close friend of the brand and has worn its custom pieces multiple times at Grand Slams.
The collection features gemstones including sapphire, tourmaline, garnet and tanzanite. The pieces include a statement necklace, bracelet, and drop earrings, making a striking collection designed to help her make a statement both on and off the court.

The jewellery was more than just a luxe touch for Sabalenka’s US Open looks. Material Good made the pieces with the demands of professional tennis in mind, considering movement, weight, fit, and durability.

The collection has been hailed as one of the most audacious pieces made for the world No. 1, while the colourful gemstones are a nod to the many different influences of New York. Material Good’s head of design Atara Lev said the US Open suite is among the firm’s “boldest looks to date.”
Sabalenka has been adding more and more jewellery to go with her Grand Slam outfits, turning the pieces into a form of self-expression.

The jewellery arrived as Sabalenka was attempting to make history on the court. The defending US Open champion is on the brink of a third consecutive US Open title in New York. If she pulls off the feat, she will join an elite list of players in Grand Slam history.
However, Sabalenka has not been at her best this year compared to previous seasons. She’s had a lean spell since the second half of the year, including an early exit at the Cincinnati Open. Still, she is the No. 1 player in the world and one of the top contenders for the title at Flushing Meadows.
