Aryna Sabalenka vs Mirra Andreeva: Head-to-head record

The clash between Aryna Sabalenka vs Mirra Andreeva has been a one-sided affair.
“It feels like an old mama playing against a kid”, said Aryna Sabalenka ahead of her sixth face-off against the 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva at the Indian Wells Open 2025 final. Despite age difference, this rivalry between these two players with different skills has become interesting.

Sabalenka’s ruthless nature makes her a nightmare on fast and pacy courts, underlining her success at the hard court slams. However, she has yet to make a mark on clay tournaments. Andreeva has an all-round game and, at such a young age, has emerged victorious over the best WTA players of the current era, including Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina.
The Russian is the youngest WTA champion since the format’s inception. following her triumph at the Dubai Tennis Championships 2025. Andreeva battled Sabalenka for the first time at the Madrid fourth round in 2023, with the 15-year-old getting battered in straight sets.
Andreeva made better progress the next year, reaching the Madrid Open quarterfinals, beating Jasmine Paolini and Marketa Vondrousova along the way. The 16-year-old came up against Sabalenka again, only to go down in straight sets.

At the French Open 2024, she beat Victoria Azarenka in the second round and took on Sabalenka in the quarterfinal. The initial set was a closely fought one, heading into a tiebreak with the 25-year-old emerging victorious.
But Andreeva fought back, taking advantage of Sabalenka’s massive count of unforced errors, and won the match in three sets. This victory reiterated Andreeva’s brilliance and her ability to maintain composure when her back was facing the wall.
In 2025, Sabalenka avenged her French Open defeat on her favorite court at the Australian Open. She faced Andreeva twice in the span of two weeks- at the Brisbane International, where the Belarusian went on to win the tournament, and then at the Melbourne Park, where Sabalenka just fell short of a rare three-peat, losing to Madison Keys in the final.
