ATP Qatar Open 2025: All you need to know about prize money and points on offer

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are set to feature.
The Qatar Open 2025 (also known as the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open) is the 33rd edition of the Qatar Open, a men’s tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is part of the ATP Tour 500 tournaments of the 2025 ATP Tour (upgraded from ATP Tour 250 status in previous years), and will take place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar from 17 to 22 February 2025.
This year, the men’s singles draw is stacked with the best players of the current era. Rotterdam 2025 winner Carlos Alcaraz will look to register his maiden victory in Doha. With Alexander Zverev not featuring in this event, the Spaniard will hope to reduce the gap on the ATP rankings, with a potential number two ranking up for grabs should Alcaraz win the tournament.

24-time Grand Slam Champion Novak Djokovic returns to Qatar with a 100th career title in sight. The two-time Qatar winner marks his first comeback since the muscle tear injury that halted him from an 11th Australian Open final, forcing him to retire midway through his semi-final encounter.
Despite the issues Djokovic has had to endure physically, the Serb continues to impress everyone having downed Alcaraz comfortably Down Under. The task for the 37-year-old will now be to win his first title since the US Open 2023 (barring the Olympics) and keep himself injury-free.

Both Alcaraz and Djokovic skipped the Qatar Open 2024. The Serbian’s last title in Doha came back in, and he will be eager to reach the historic landmark this time.
Daniil Medvedev, who finds himself outside the top-five ATP rankings has had a shocking start to the new season. Consecutive defeats against lower-ranked players at the Australian Open and then ABN AMRO mean the 2023 champion is looking for some form.
Many high-profile players, including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev, will compete in Doha. Both have endured a slow start to the season. Rublev, a quarterfinalist in the last edition, faces a tough challenge this year.
Grigor Dimitrov, seeded seventh is set to play his first match since the first-round exit from the Australian Open while Jack Draper returns to competitive tennis after nursing an injury during the Australian Open.

World Number One, Jannik Sinner, who was supposed to enter the competition as the number one seed will miss the event, after being handed a three-month suspension by the World Anti-Doping Agency. However, WADA acknowledged in their statements that the 23-year-old player had no intention of cheating and that his physiotherapist had inadvertently given him Clocetobol.
In the last edition of the ATP Qatar Open, Karen Khachanov defeated Czech’s Jakub Mensik, to be crowned as the new champion.
