Alcaraz finishes the year as the World No. 1 in ATP rankings, but Sinner retains his crown in Turin.
Jannik Sinner closed the 2025 season with a statement, defeating Carlos Alcaraz to win his second straight ATP Finals title and claim his 11th big title. The victory moved him within three major trophies of his biggest rival in their escalating chase.
The Italian became only the third man to win multiple ATP Finals titles on home soil, finishing the year with six big titles including the Australian Open, Wimbledon and Paris. His efficiency stands out, winning a major event once every 5.8 tournaments, ahead of legends like Agassi.
The Italian will end the year ranked second, a phenomenal feat given he missed three months of action due to his suspension. Alcaraz finishes at the top of the rankings, and the gap between #2 and #3 is more than 5000 points.
Alexander Zverev is shockingly closer to the World No. 1000, than #2 placed Sinner. Incredibly, despite featuring in Grand Slams and just a few Masters, Novak Djokovic ends the 2025 year as the new World No. 4.
Felix Auger-Aliassime was nearly outside the top-30 last year, and his sensational comeback in the backend of the season has forced his entry into the top-5 ATP rankings.
