Jannik Sinner will enter the Australian Open 2026 as two-time reigning champion.

The ATP World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz will be looking to complete his career Grand Slam when he takes the courts at the Australian Open 2026, aiming for his maiden title in Melbourne.

The Spaniard, who is yet to reach the semifinals at the Melbourne Park in his career, will lead a lineup that includes ninety-nine of the world’s top 100 men’s singles players.

The only player among the top 100 missing the tournament is World No.15 Holger Rune, who is still recovering from the ruptured left Achilles tendon he suffered during the Stockholm Open semifinals in October 2025.

World No.2 Jannik Sinner who is a reigning two-time champion at Australian Open, will aim to defend his title again.

But he can’t ignore the tough challenge coming not only from his arch rival Alcaraz but also from the in-form Alexander Zverev and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who is eager to chase his 25th major and further history.

After reaching the semifinals of all four Grand Slams and becoming the oldest man to do so, the Serbian star Djokovic is determined to return stronger at a venue where he has won 10 titles and is regarded as the king.

The men’s singles entry list also features four players — Chinese stars Shang Juncheng and Zhang Zhizhen, Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori, and Australian favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis– who have entered the tournament using protected rankings.

For India, with veteran star Rohan Bopanna having retired from professional tennis, there will be no representative in the men’s singles main draw this year.
