Jack Draper was made to fight for a place in the Australian Open 2025 fourth round with a third successive five-set epic at the Australian Open to line up a must-watch encounter with Carlos Alcaraz. At stake for the southpaw is a place in the last eight to extend his best-ever showing in Melbourne. 

The 15th seed came through 6-4, 2-6, 5-7, 7-6(7-5), 7-6(10-8) against home hope Aleksandar Vukic in late-night thriller. The 23-year-old British lefty quelled a partisan Aussie crowd and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis in four hours and 35 minutes over five sets on Wednesday. The ebb and flow of the match was decided by the final set tiebreak, which Draper won 10-8 in an ideal finale.
