The 2024 Barcelona Open has commenced and will end on April 21, as the ATP 1000 Matua Madrid Open is scheduled to start on April 24. The event was founded in 1953, and the 79th edition of the Barcelona Open is currently taking place in the Catalan city.

The ATP 500 event is played at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, also known as the Royal Barcelona Tennis Club. Moreover, the centre court of the tennis club was named “Pista Rafa Nadal” after 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal in 2017.
