Top five pairs with best odds to win US Open 2025 mixed doubles event

Top singles players will compete in the revamped mixed doubles tournament.
The US Open 2025 Mixed Doubles event, marking its 137th edition, will be played from August 19–21 on the outdoor hard courts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center during Fan Week, featuring 16 teams—eight direct entrants by combined singles rankings and eight wild cards.
These high prolific contests will be taking place at the iconic Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong Stadiums, under a revamped format. A lot will be at stake, as the champion gets to take home $1M. On that note, let’s take a look at the favourites for the title.
Teams with best odds to win US Open 2025 mixed doubles event
5. Novak Djokovic/Olga Danilovic (11/1)
Novak Djokovic will be featuring in his first event, since the semi-final defeat to Jannik Sinner at SW19. It will be an all-Serbian pairing that takes the court, with his partner Olga Danilovic being the more regular doubles player out of the two.
While they’re placed fifth on this list, Djokovic isn’t the greatest doubles player out there, and the pair’s co-ordination and movement back-and-froth will be tested if they wish to reach the final four.

4. Sara Errani/Andrea Vavassori (10/1)
The reigning champions are well slated to defend their title, as they are one out of the only two doubles specialists teams competing at the event this year. Andrea Vavassori recently triumphed at Citi Open and is ranked #13th currently.
Sara Errani continues to enjoy excellent campaigns across the world alongside Paolini, and is the World No. 4 on the WTA doubles rankings. Having played together on the tennis tour previously, and being established names in the doubles circuit, this all-Italian pairing will certainly be a huge favorite to clinch the title.
3. Elena Rybakina/Taylor Fritz (8/1)
The Eisenhower Cup 2025 champions will play together yet again at the US Open 2025. Taylor Fritz might be fresher off the two, while Elena Rybakina enters on the back of a draining North-American swing.
While these two played well at Indian Wells earlier this year, the formats are completely different, with Eisenhower certainly not being the right event to judge the caliber of doubles teams.
This Kazakh-American duo is sure to entertain, with both players boasting height and fearsome serves. Yet, Rybakina’s inconsistency at the net and Fritz’s vulnerable second serve could pose problems, especially as they open their campaign against the defending champions.
2. Iga Swiatek/Casper Ruud (5/1)
Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud are close friends and have previously partnered together. However, their participation in the mixed doubles event remains uncertain, with Swiatek contesting a late Cincinnati Open final against Paolini, who has since withdrawn.
Ruud will be returning from a long break, while the Pole arrives in stunning form, showcasing her sharp serving and footwork. Combined with the Norwegian’s solidity at the net, they could form a dominant pairing should they take the court together.

1. Taylor Townsend/Ben Shelton (4/1)
The hard hitting and dynamic all-American pairing of Taylor Townsend and Ben Shelton are local favourites and are expected to go the distance. Shelton has one of the best serves on tour, and will be a menace with Townsend’s sharp work at the net.
Both have excellent understanding of doubles tennis, and will be backed by the crowd, who are certain to turn up in huge numbers to support them. Should they play anywhere near their best, the massive prize money of $1M could easily be theirs by the end of the event.
