Carlos Alcaraz is through to the semi-finals at The Championships

Carlos Alcaraz has found his top gear at Wimbledon 2025, at the right time. After a shaky start, the Spaniard is doing what he does best—dominating. The two-time defending champion has enjoyed his time at the All England Club this year, with fun interactions on and off the field with fellow tennis players, active and retired.

The Spaniard’s tennis heroics are widely celebrated, but right now he seems more focused on his golf skills after losing a deciding game to Andy Murray. In his on-court press conference following his third-round win over Jan-Lennard Struff, the 22-year-old jokingly shared that he has now tied their golf rivalry, winning the duo’s second round against the British legend.

However, Andy Murray’s cheeky tweet shortly after left everyone wondering if Alcaraz had actually lost, albeit in a different sport. When asked about Murray’s post, the Spaniard cleverly dodged the question, playfully feigning surprise and pretending he had no idea what they were talking about.

Alcaraz has now invited another famous personality for a golf date. And this time, it’s not someone from tennis or the sports world, but a renowned Hollywood actor. Tom Holland, recipient of numerous accolades, including the prestigious BAFTA Award, and best known for his ‘Spiderman Role’, paid a visit to Alcaraz’s practice court, ahead of the Spaniard’s quarter-final match against Cameron Norrie.

In a brief but entertaining exchange, Alcaraz asked Tom about his golf skills, and the British actor eagerly accepted the challenge, agreeing to a future match.

“Tom! I saw you playing golf as well. Good swing, good swing, eh?” Alcaraz asked Holland, in a video posted by Wimbledon’s official account on X (formerly twitter).

“We should play!” Holland chirped, increasing the excitement among fans, over the possibility of seeing their two favorite heroes, challenge each other in a different sport .

Tom Holland and his love for tennis is not a secret, as the renowned actor was seen previously at the Indian Wells Open final last year, when Carlos Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.

He was spotted in the stands during Alcaraz’s quarter-final triumph over local favourite Norrie, and the British actor has turned into a lucky charm for the Spaniard.

Alcaraz will now prepare for his semi-final clash against World No. 5 Taylor Fritz, who has battled through a tough campaign that started with a comeback from two sets down in the opening round.

The Spaniard has his sights firmly set on securing a third consecutive Wimbledon final berth, where he is likely to face either Novak Djokovic or Jannik Sinner in what promises to be a blockbuster showdown.

Who will Carlos Alcaraz face in Wimbledon 2025 semi-finals?

Two-time defending Alcaraz will face Taylor Fritz in the semis of Wimbledon 2025.
