Carlos Alcaraz won his second US Open title in 2025.
Yet another off-court waves has been created by Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz, this time not with his haircut, but with a new tattoo that has taken social media by storm and sparked plenty of curiosity among fans.
The world No. 1 wrapped up a remarkable 2025 season with eight titles to his name. Although he fell to Jannik Sinner in the ATP Finals 2025 final, Alcaraz still finished the year as the ATP year-end world No. 1.
However, with the on-court actions now paused, the spotlight has shifted to a personal detail that has kept fans talking, his latest tattoo on the left forearm.
The new tattoo is said to commemorate his 2025 US Open victory. It features the minilaist line art of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge which is a tribute to his success at Flushing Meadows.
At the 2025 US Open, the 22-year-old once again defeated the Italian superstar Jannik Sinner in the final to lift his second title at the New York Grand Slam. His first US Open crown came in 2022, when he beat Casper Ruud in the final and became the youngest world No. 1 in ATP history.
Nevertheless, Alcaraz’s entire 2025 season has been filled with off-court talking points as well. Ahead of the US Open campaign, he debuted a buzz cut that quickly caught attention.
The haircut, which reportedly resulted from a misunderstanding with the clippers during a trim by his brother, left him with no option but to shave his head completely.
The bold look of the six-time Grand Slam champion became a hot topic during the opening week of the tournament, with fellow players like Frances Tiafoe jokingly describing it as “terrible” and “horrendous.”
And then, after winning the US Open in September, Alcaraz surprised fans once again by dyeing his buzz cut platinum blonde. The Spaniard kept the blonde look through the remainder of the season, including appearances at the Laver Cup and Paris Masters, even refreshing the colour in October.
Speaking of the reactions from fellow players on Alcaraz’s latest tattoo, they are yet to come, but might be coming soon.
