Carlos Alcaraz vs Nikoloz Basilashvili live streaming, TV channel, where & how to watch: Vienna Open 2026
Alcaraz and Basilashvili are all set for a third tour-level showdown
Carlos Alcaraz will face Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili in the second round of ATP Vienna Open 2026, with the second seed Spaniard eyeing his fourth title of the season.
Alcaraz, making his first appearance in Vienna since 2021, overcame a less-than-perfect second set to score a straight-sets opening-round victory defeating former finalist Karen Khachanov, 6-4, 7-6(5) in a little over two hours to kickstart his title bid at the indoor hard-court event.
Khachanov saved three match points at 5-4 and looked set to force a decider before Alcaraz rallied back to close out the match in the tiebreak.
The Spaniard won 80% of points on his first serve as he extended his head-to-head lead over Khachanov to a perfect 7-0. Alcaraz, the World No. 3, is chasing his fourth trophy of the season – the Australian Open, Doha and Tokyo are in the bag.
Basilashvili came through in straight sets against Jurij Rodionov in the first round. The Tbilisi native overcame Rodionov 7-6(3), 6-1 in 94 minutes, winning 75% of points on first serve and converting three break points against the Austrian.
Basilashvili scored his maiden head-to-head match victory against Rodionov on tour and will now prepare to take on Alcaraz for the third time in his career. The Spaniard leads their head-to-head 2-0, having won their previous match at the 2022 ATP Masters 1000 Madrid in straight sets.
